Project Title

Terminal Illness for Children

An animation for ages 7 to 12, explaining what to expect when a loved one is diagnosed with a terminal illness.

The animation explains how you can have many different feelings when a loved one has a terminal illness and other people will act differently too. The transcript is direct and does not confuse young children by avoiding difficult words like death and dying.

It can be used as a tool for parents too as it is always a hard conversation to have with young children, but it is also an essential conversation to help them come to terms and understand their feelings.

To accompany the video I created a website that will give further advice and ideas to help your child to process the difficult situation and allow a bond and openness to communication with caregiver and child.
